I could go on about Live8, and how I think it would be more effective if people took the time to find out about the provenance of the things they bought. A global boycott of Nestle, for example, would be more effective than everyone watching a (very good) concert. It would be nice if people automatically reached for the fairtrade/organic products. It would be nice if people didn't always always always go for the cheapest option, thereby encouraging the supermarkets to force their suppliers to lower their prices, effectively making farming even more difficult. And so on and so on and so on.

But it was a good gig.

I didn't do any writing yesterday, due to feeling desperately sorry for myself (including making myself cry over nothing). This is bad. I should be writing no matter how down I feel. Anyway, I can't afford to fall behind, so I'll be writing extra for the next few days until I'm back on track. It wasn't actually much harder to write an extra thousand words today. Maybe I should be aiming for three thousand every day.

In the meantime... *does happy more-than-halfway-through-the-book dance* :-)
